Maine Man Clocked at 105 mph on His Harley: NHSP

Richard Hudson was arrested this morning by a state trooper on Route 16 for reckless operation.

WAKEFIELD, NH — A Maine man is due in court in September after allegedly being clocked driving 105 miles per hour in a 55-zone, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Richard Hudson, 50, of South Portland, ME, was arrested on July 20, 2016, for reckless operation.

According to state police, at just after 9:30 a.m. today, a trooper on Route 16 in Wakefield reportedly saw a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling south at a high rate of speed.

The trooper clocked the motorcycle at 105 in what was a 55 mile per hour zone, according to Staff Sgt. James Fogarty. Hudson was stopped and arrested. He’s due in court on Sept. 1.

“The New Hampshire State Police is committed to ensuring our roadways are safe to drive upon for every member of our community,” Fogarty added in a statement. “Reckless driving, high speed, impaired driving and distracted driving are merely a few of the infractions troopers strictly enforce every day. Please drive with safety in mind this summer season.”
