Maine Woman Arrested On Aggravated DWI Charge: Portsmouth Police Log
Plus: North Hampton woman cited for a loose dog; crashes investigated; suicidal subjects assisted; man charged with disorderly conduct.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Amanda Franco, 26, of Government Street in Kittery, Maine, was arrested at 9:22 p.m. on Aug. 16 on aggravated driving while intoxicated, two counts of driving while intoxicated, and conduct after an accident charges. Police were sent to State Street for a rollover crash involving a vehicle with Maine plates. One of the vehicle’s occupants, however, had fled the scene. After finding out it was a woman from Kittery, a BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) call was made. Later, Franco was found by a pier near Strawbery Banke, she was given field sobriety tests, and then arrested.
At 9:16 p.m. on Aug. 16, police took information about a possible suicidal subject on Junkins Avenue. Later, police realized the woman was out of state and did not want people in the state to be contacted. Police in the other state were able to find the woman and assisted her.
Police investigated a woman who contacted a suicide hotline around 6:05 p.m. on Aug. 16 and suggested she would take her own life. Officers checked addresses for the woman as well as vehicles and were unable to find her. They checked with York, ME, police for a location up there but could not find the woman.

At 2:47 p.m. on Aug. 16, police assisted firefighters with a report of a woman rolling on the ground in traffic near Market Street. The woman was found later between Spinnaker and Portsmouth Boulevard, and she was taken to the hospital.
A crash was reported at Springbrook Circle and Lafayette Road between a Volkswagen Passat and a Subaru, without injuries.

At 10:17 a.m., police were requested to investigate a vehicle parking on the sidewalk and filling utility buckets with water on Junkins Avenue. An officer later learned she had been watering flowers in the area for the past five years. She was made aware of the complaint.
Police were called to Blue Heron Drive at 9:17 a.m. on Aug. 16 to assist a woman reportedly being harassed by other women, according to an Arizona mental health hotline.
A woman at the Stonecroft Apartments reported a stolen vehicle at 9:02 a.m. on Aug. 16.
Nicholas Collins, 34, of Wilson Road in Portsmouth was arrested on a disorderly conduct warrant at 9:24 a.m. on July 28. He was arrested at police headquarters.
Jacquelyn Rossi Korth, 46, of South Road in North Hampton received a summons at 7:46 a.m. on July 28 on a dog at-large city ordinance violation. Police were sent to Lafayette Road for a black lab that was loose in the area, trying to get into a dumpster, and heading toward Route 1. The dog and owner were brought together, and the owner was cited.
