Man Receives Summons After Pedestrian Accident
Court Street in Portsmouth was down to one lane on May 10, after an accident.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - A local man received a summons today after reportedly striking a pedestrian, according to police.
Phillip Francoeur of Portsmouth was charged on May 10, 2016, with failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

According to police, at just after 1:15 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a report of a pedestrian being struck at the intersection of Court and Middle streets.

The pedestrian was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Court Street was down to one lane for about 30 minutes. Francoeur received the summons at the scene.
“Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a contributing factor of the accident,” according to Sgt. Timothy McCain of the Portsmouth Police Department.
The case is still under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the accident is being asked to contact the investigating officer, Jordan Wells, at 603-610-7505.
