Rousseau was arrested the case for “several weeks” after an allegation first surfaced from a CyberTip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which was sent to the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC).

“In a joint investigation involving police departments from Hampton, Portsmouth, Greenland, Stratham, Kittery, and Eliot, ME, along with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Rousseau was successfully taken into custody in Portsmouth when he arrived to meet what he thought was a 14-year-old girl he had been conversing with on an online application, but was actually an undercover detective who he had been conversing with,” according to Lt. Mark Newport of the Portsmouth Police Department. “When Rousseau was taken into custody he was in possession of a concealed loaded handgun which resulted in the additional charge.”
