Market Square Day Logo Sought

The Seacoast’s premier Downtown-festival organization, Pro Portsmouth will produce the 35th Anniversary Celebration of the Market Square Day Festival and Road Race on Saturday, June 9th. Once again, Pro Portsmouth hopes that the craftspeople, artists, musicians and other talented folk of the region take to the streets in June.

Each year we look to the artists of the Seacoast to create a logo for Market Square Day. Once again, this is our ‘Call to Logo Artists’ and your opportunity to create a logo that lives on for years. Since 1978, Market Square Day has taken place in the heart of the City. Pro Portsmouth looks to the artists of the community to put their signature on the 2012 Logo design and message.

Themes that always (and still do) resonate for Pro Portsmouth are the four ‘keys’ of its Mission – Arts, Culture, History & Community. We ask that you incorporate the text ‘Market Square Day 2012’ – into your design. And, since both Pro Portsmouth and Market Square Day turn 35, a nod to that important point is appreciated!

Artwork and artist are acknowledged at a Press Conference. The top three logos will receive a cash award from Pro Portsmouth. The artwork is used on all Market Square Day merchandise and collateral that Pro
Portsmouth produces for the 2012 event.
