Market Square Day, Pancake Breakfast on Tap This Weekend
Downtown Portsmouth will be rocking all day Saturday with live music, vendors, and food for 35th annual Market Square Day.
As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.
1. Market Square Day: The 35th annual Market Square Day will be held on Saturday in downtown Portsmouth from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature live music, great food, vendors and the 10k road race.
2. Comedy at Music Hall: The Music Hall will host the show "Miss Richfield 1981: 2012–We'll All Be Dead By Christmas!!" This hysterical storyteller is winning over theater and cabaret audiences around the country with an interactive one-man drag show featuring edgy one-on-one improv, a professionally trained singing voice, and an athletic approach to physical comedy.

3. Wooden Eye, Americana live: Don't miss Wooden Eye, Americana at The Press Room on Saturday night at 9 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge.
4. Pancake Breakfast: The Middle Street Baptist Church will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. It is the perfect way to start your day before heading downtown for Market Square Day.

5. Gundalow day sails: The Gundalow Company offers on Saturday and Sunday.
