Mass. Man Ejected From Pickup After NH Crash
NHSP: A Stoneham, MA, man was medflighted to Mass. General Hospital after a crash this morning on Route 16.

DOVER, NH — A Massachusetts man who was ejected from his pickup truck this morning after a crash on Route 16 in Dover has been medflighted to Boston for treatment, according to New Hampshire State Police. At just before 11 a.m. on July 17, 2017, Troop A troopers were sent to a report of a single vehicle crash with a person in the roadway just north of Exit 9. The vehicle was a 2000 Dodge Ram pickup being driven by a 63-year-old man from Stoneham, according to troopers.
“(The) initial on-scene investigation revealed that while driving southbound on Route 16 in the area of Exit 9, (the man) left the travel portion of the roadway to the right, traveled down the embankment, and then entered back onto the roadway where the vehicle flipped onto its side,” according to Lt. John Hennessey of Troop A. “As the vehicle rolled over, (he) was ejected. The cause of this crash remains under investigation.”
The man was transported to Wentworth-Douglas Hospital with serious injuries and then, was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

All travel lanes on the southbound and northbound sides of the roadway were shut down, and traffic was reduced to using only the breakdown lanes in both directions until the scene could be cleared, Hennessey stated.
The New Hampshire State Police received assistance at the scene from members of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
