Milan Lucic Draws Dozens of Bruins Fans

People from as far away as Manchester traveled to The Page to get Boston Bruins star's autograph.

Chrissy Vignola and her boyfriend, Bobby Leonard, of Exeter were among the dozens of Boston Bruins fans who converged on The Page Restaurant and Sports Bar Monday night to meet Bruins star Milan Lucic.

Vignola paid $69 to have Lucic autograph her Bruins jersey that bears his name and number 17. Leonard paid $49 to have the Bruins star autograph one of his photographs and the couple said that just being able to meet one of their sports heroes made it all worth it.

"He's my favorite," Vignola said. "I'm not going to frame it and hang it on the wall. I'm going to wear it to every game I go to."

"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity," Daigle said.

Tim and Alisa Karwowski of Dover brought their two sons, Jack, 10, and Charlie, 9, to meet their hockey idol. The couple said their boys are diehard Bruins fans who watch every game, play hockey video games and love to play squirt hockey.

The couple said they paid more than $200 to have Lucic autograph two Bruins photographs of the Bruins star along with a Lucic Bruins jersey. They also wanted to give their sons an unforgettable experience that would last a lifetime.

When asked what he would say to Lucic when he got his chance to meet him, Jack Karwowski replied, "I want to tell him that I scored five goals in my championship game."
