Music Hall Kitchen Tour Coming Soon
Participants can board trolleys and tour kitchens inside homes in New Castle on May 5.

What could be better than spending a spring day on the Seacoast with friends and family, peeking into extraordinary kitchens and enjoying all that New Castle has to offer? The kitchens we all dream of – sleek and contemporary, cozy and traditional, packed with innovation and imagination – will become a reality for one day as The Music Hall presents its popular Annual Kitchen Tour.
Now in its 21st year, this benefit for The Music Hall will feature kitchens and dining spaces in the Seacoast town of New Castle, New Hampshire. The tour will be held Saturday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“This year’s tour, on the quaint island of New Castle, will include new features such as trolleys that will continually loop the route of the Tour taking patrons from several parking lots to drop off points along the Tour’s route,” says Dominique Jackson, Administrative Coordinator and Special Events Manager at The Music Hall. Each year, the tour attracts over 1,200 visitors, who come out to support The Music Hall while gaining inspiration for their own kitchens. Proceeds from the tour are used toward operating costs to support The Music Hall, an American Treasure for the Arts.

“The Kitchen Tour is a grand day - an opportunity to ‘case study’ because you can go into all of these new kitchens and see the different styles. It’s inspiring and uplifting,” says Kitchen Tour fan Janet Stevens, whose home has been featured on the tour in the past.
The Kitchen Tour is the perfect opportunity to come and see breathtaking kitchen designs and experience the great views New Castle has to offer. According to Ann Kendall, co-chair of the event, “We are very happy to be back in New Castle for our 2012 Kitchen Tour. Guests this year will see a wonderful and diverse lineup of homes on the island, from historic to remodeled, traditional to cutting edge. We will have trolleys this year, which will make the tour even more enjoyable than ever, although it will also be an ideal tour for the walking and biking crowd. We are, as ever, grateful to all the homeowners who make this event possible.”

“The Kitchen Tour is a perfect way to enjoy a spring Saturday in the Seacoast, and help to support The Music Hall”, says Dominique Jackson." We can't wait to welcome our guests this year!"
New This Year – Trolleys
Tour-goers can start and finish the Tour from any parking lot designated on an easy-to-follow map that is provided. The trolleys will pick guests up and drop them off at several spots along the Tour that are within walking distance of each featured home.
On the Tour – artisans available to talk
For visitors looking to turn their own dreams into reality, the artisans, designers and architects involved in the kitchens are noted in the tour’s guidebook along with detailed descriptions of the kitchens. Many of the artisans will also be available to speak with during the tour.
To start your tour – buy tickets early + map features local restaurants
It’s best to buy your tickets early, as there is a discount on all tickets purchased before the day of the Tour. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at The Music Hall Box Office or online at TheMusicHall.org. Tour-goers are given an easy-to-follow map and a guidebook with detailed descriptions of the kitchens as well as information on all of the artisans, designers, and architects responsible for layout and design. Maps will be sent a week before the Tour to patrons who buy tickets in advance; the map will also be available on The Music Hall’s website the week before the tour. Tour-goers can check their maps to identify some great area restaurants and grab a bite for lunch in New Castle or head to Portsmouth for dinner and Cinco de Mayo celebrations.
