New Heights To Offer New Adventure Program This Fall

New Heights in Portsmouth and Exeter offers youth the opportunity for year-round adventure.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — While adventure is often associated with summer or winter, New Heights in Portsmouth and Exeter offers youth the opportunity for year-round adventure with an innovative new program called Adventure Team. Designed for middle school age youth, the program will take place on a monthly basis beginning with the first session on Sept. 20, 2017. Other dates include October 18, November 8, December 13, January 24, February 14, March 14, April 11 and May 9. Many sessions will take advantage of early-release days.

Activities in the program will range from Stand-Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) and rock climbing to indoor skydiving and surfing to name just a few.

While experienced as fun for youth, New Heights Executive Director Tracey Tucker said the program is designed to also address other needs.

“Youth need the chance to work on their self-confidence and develop problem-solving and team-building skills—this program hits those areas,” she said.

No experience is necessary for any activity and all gear and instruction will be provided. New Heights charges program fees, but offers need-based scholarships.
