Portsmouth Memorial Park Opens
The park features bricks with the names of local veterans.
The Portsmouth Memorial Park opened on Veterans Day Monday.
The park is located at the foot of the new Memorial Bridge. It features bricks with names of local veterans and a stack of granite blocks from the foundation of the former bridge.
Portsmouth residents Jim and Laurie Teetzel donated $25,000 to build the park.
The Teetzels also helped raise money to illuminate the Memorial Bridge.
