Petraeus to Appear at Veterans Count Fundraiser on Aug. 19
Easter Seals NH event will be held at the Music Hall in Portsmouth.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — The Seacoast Chapter of Veterans Count, a program of Easter Seals NH that provides emergency assistance and services to military members and their families, welcomes General David Petraeus to the Music Hall in Portsmouth at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, according to a press statement. Petraeus will join Jack Health of NH Today, the host and moderator of the evening, as they discuss the general’s decorated military and public service career.
Petraeus served more than 37 years in the military before leading the CIA as the agency’s director during the global counter-terrorism effort. Throughout his military career, Petraeus served in many areas of conflict in combat commands, earning numerous U.S. Military, State Department, NATO, and United Nations awards. He was also decorated by thirteen foreign countries.
As director of the CIA, Petraeus launched a strategic plan to guide the agency and increase its worldwide human intelligence coverage. The CIA also established the Economic Security Center under his leadership.

Tickets for the event may be reserved at $25, $35, and $50 VIP seating. All proceeds from the evening will go directly to Veterans Count, an organization that aids service members, Veterans and their families across the state of New Hampshire. Through comprehensive, emergency aid and timely financial assistance and services, Veterans Count helps these individuals thrive in their communities. Ninety cents of every dollar raised by Veterans Count goes directly to supporting its mission.
