PMS Student Shines at Spelling Bee
Isabelle Halle, a Portsmouth Middle School 8th grader, was one of two students who had a perfect score on the 50-word written test.

Isabelle Halle may not have won the 59th annual New Hampshire Spelling Bee on Saturday, but the Portsmouth Middle School 8th grader was one of two students who achieved a perfect 50-word written test.
The other student, Emma Ciereszynski, an 8th grader from Dover High School, captured the 59th annual spelling bee that was held at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord on Saturday, according to the Union Leader.
The Union Leader reported that nearly 200 students competed in the spelling bee and Ciereszynski will represent New Hampshire at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., in May.
