Police Looking for Wells, Maine, Theft Suspect

Portsmouth Police want public's help to locate Dylan Lorenson who is wanted for theft by deception.

Portsmouth Police are asking for the public's help to locate a man who recently stole $2,000 from a Seacoast couple by cashing two counterfeit postal money orders in the city.

In a police press release, Portsmouth Police Capt. Corey MacDonald, chief of the detectives division, said police want to arrest Dylan H. Lorenson, 19, and that police believe he is staying with different friends and acquaintances in the Seacoast area. 

MacDonald said Lorenson is out on bail for two prior felony theft charges which he has defaulted on.  He is currently wanted on a new class A felony theft by deception charge after stealing $2,000 from the Seacoast couple.

MacDonald said Lorenson is always wanted by the Wells, Maine, Police Department on similar theft charges.

Police said Lorenson’s last known address is 38 Stephen Eaton Lane in Wells, Maine.  He is 5’10”, 140 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. "Mr. Lorenson has listed his occupation during a prior arrest as being with the National Guard, that information has not been verified," reads the police press release.

MacDonald said anyone with information regarding Mr. Lorenson’s possible whereabouts is asked to call the Portsmouth Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
