Portsmouth Police Turkey Bowl "Football for a Cause" will be played again this year on Thanksgiving Eve, November 27th, 2013 at 5:00 pm at Portsmouth High School. Rain or shine.
After the success of last year’s tournament raising money and needed supplies for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, we wanted to raise money this year to for a cause closer to home. This year all proceeds will go the Rankin family. Sarah, her husband Colin and their children, Cameron and Annabelle are Portsmouth residents impacted by a major medical crisis. Sarah Rankin has been battling Stage 4 breast cancer since 2008. We hope that the funds we raise can help support them through the holiday season and let them know that they are not alone in their long struggle.
There is a voluntary monetary donation to attend the game and/or food donation to the Seacoast Food Pantry. All checks can be made out to the Portsmouth Police Patrolman’s Union (P.P.P.U.), 3 Junkins Avenue, Portsmouth, NH. Please earmark letters or checks to Portsmouth Police “Football for a Cause”.
The teams playing in this year’s event are:
