Police Use Spikes to Stop Newmarket Man
Sean Day allegedly refused to stop for state troopers while on Route 16.

A local man is facing multiple charges after a traffic incident in Dover earlier this morning.
Sean P. Day, 20, of Newmarket, was arrested at around 3 a.m. on Dec. 5, and charged with reckless operation, disobeying an officer, and other violations.
According to a report, a Honda Accord was driving on Route 16 in Dover and a state trooper attempted to stop it for a motor vehicle violation.

The vehicle, however, refused to stop, and the trooper began pursuing the vehicle. The Honda took the 6W exit and headed west on Route 4 through Durham and into Lee. Lee Police were able to put down a spike strip near the Lee traffic circle in order to stop the vehicle.
Day, the driver, was arrested after that. He will be arraigned later today.
