Portsmouth Arrest Log: Man Arrested on Assault Charges
Plus, woman allegedly resists arrest on Lafayette Road and a teen was taken into protective custody.

Jeremy P. Miller, 47, of Blue Heron Drive in Portsmouth, was arrested at 10:52 a.m. on July 22, 2015, on a warrant out of Seabrook. He was arrested after a traffic stop on Bartlett and Thornton streets.

James R. Goddard, 32, of Bedford Way in Portsmouth, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. on July 22, on four simple assault charges and criminal mischief. He turned himself in to police.

Lee-Ann O’Brien, 50, of Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 3:29 p.m. on July 22, for obstructing government administration and resisting arrested or detention. An officer was sent to Lafayette Road to assist a New Castle officer who was helping a woman. She reportedly requested a ride and asked to use his phone, according to the report. O’Brien was taken into custody but allegedly refused to get in the cruiser and was “hobbling” her feet. Later, the New Castle officer was able to get her into a vehicle.
A 17-year-old was taken into protective custody at 12:03 a.m. on July 24, after police were sent to Marcy Street for a group of people yelling on a pier with one standing on the railing. Later, they were called to Court Street. Numerous juveniles were detained until their parents could show up.
