Portsmouth Police Chief Stephen DuBois reports that Portsmouth Police Capt. Frank Warchol graduated from the Senior Management Institute for Police on June 18, according to a press statement.

The program is run by the Police Executive Research Forum and provides senior police officials with intensive training in the latest management concepts to prepare for the next decade of challenges. During a demanding three-week course, educators instruct attendees about new technologies and privacy issues, the implications of cybercrime and the constantly evolving and increasing threat of terror. Police are also guided on how to best respond to their communities’ demand for an increase in procedural justice, accountability, transparency and racial reconciliation.

“I would like to personally congratulate and commend Captain Warchol on his graduation from the Senior Management Institute for Police,” DuBois said. “His dedication to this rigorous course shows a true commitment to community policing. His knowledge and skills will be greatly beneficial to not only this department, but to the community as a whole.”
