Portsmouth Cops Say Man Swipes Tip Jar At Dunkin’s

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Portsmouth Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after a tip jar was reportedly stolen from the Woodbury Avenue Dunkin’ Donuts this morning. The incident allegedly occurred at around 4 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2018, according to a post on Facebook. Police joked in the post that they thought the man was eyeing Valentine’s Day donuts with pink frosting and red heart sprinkles before the alleged theft.

“This guy had hair on the side of his head and was balding at the top,” according to police. “He had a longer goatee and was wearing a long sleeve navy blue shirt, heavy set and appeared to be in his 30s or 40s.”

The man reportedly was driving a black pickup truck with a silver V-plow on the front that may have had the name of a business on the side that possibly started with the letter "S."
