Portsmouth Man Charged With Computer Crimes, Lewdness

Patrick Foster was arrested by Derry Police this week after he was allegedly communicating with a person he thought was a juvenile.

DERRY, NH — A Seacoast man was arrested this week after allegedly communicating inappropriately online with a person he thought was a child, according to police in Derry. Patrick Foster, 46, of Sagamore Avenue in Portsmouth, was arrested on Oct. 10, 2017, and charged with seven counts of certain uses of a computer service prohibited and three counts of indecent exposure and lewdness. All of the charges were felonies, according to Capt. Vern Thomas of the Derry Police Department.

“The investigation was conducted by the Derry Police Detectives in conjunction with the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, Portsmouth Police Department, and ICE – Homeland Security Investigations,” Thomas noted.

Foster was arraigned in court today and held on $10,000 cash bail at the Rockingham County House of Corrections. He has a probable cause hearing on Oct. 19.
