Portsmouth Man Gets Jail Time for Drive-by Shooting

Scott Reynolds was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 4 years in State Prison after pleading guilty to two charges of felony reckless conduct.

A Portsmouth man was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 4 years in State Prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to firing gun shots at a house and car last winter.

Scott Reynolds, 30, of 365 Meadow Road in Portsmouth was charged with three felony counts of reckless conduct and one misdemeanor of criminal mischief on Oct. 4, according to court documents. The indictments mean the grand jury found enough evidence to take the case to trial.

On Tuesday, the Portsmouth Herald reported that he pleaded guilty to two felony counts of reckless conduct. The newspaper also reported that Reynolds received   a concurrent 12-month sentence for a felony criminal mischief conviction.
