Tabitha Rantanen arrested in Massachusetts on a fugitive charge.

The Portsmouth Police Department has announced that a four-month-old girl who had been missing for about a week after an emergency court order was issued for her to be taken by a state agency has been found.

At about 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 21, 2015, Tabitha Rantanen brought her daughter, Khalieyah Pitts, to the Greenfield MA Police Department, according to a press statement. She is in “good health” and is now in temporary custody of Massachusetts Child Protective Services, according to Capt. Mike Schwartz of the Portsmouth Police Department.

Rantanen was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge, a felony, based on the interference of custody with the Portsmouth department, he noted. She will be arraigned in Massachusetts on Feb. 23.
