Portsmouth Police Investigating Burglary on Rockingham Avenue

Investigators: A handgun and jewelry were stolen this week. Seacoast Crime Stoppers are looking for tips.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Portsmouth Police are asking for the public’s help after a burglary was reported on Wednesday afternoon on Rockingham Avenue. According to police, officers were dispatched to the home after it was discovered that the suspect or suspects forced entry into the residence and stole a handgun and jewelry.

“Portsmouth Police Detectives and members of the Crime Scene Team responded to process the scene,” according to Sgt. John Peracchi of the Portsmouth Police Department. “Portsmouth Police are reminding residents to please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.”
