Portsmouth Police Investigating Death of a Woman

Detectives seek information about Dianne Walker, who was found passed away in a snowbank earlier this week.

The Portsmouth Police Department is looking into the death of a local woman who was found in a snowbank not far from her home.

Dianne E. Walker, 57, of Portsmouth, was found around 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 10, 2015.

The case started as a missing persons case but later, Walker was found not far from her home in the Shurburne Road neighborhood.

According to Seacoastonline.com, Walker’s husband reported her missing and officers were able to use her cellphone to trace her to a general location. She was found in the snow later, according to the report. 

Lab and toxicology reports are still pending but the incident is not being investigated as a crime, according to Capt. Mike Schwartz.

Anyone with information about Walker or why she may have passed away is being asked to contact the detective division at 603-610-7434.

Nearly two years ago to the day, Walker was arrested after allegedly stabbing another person in her home, according to police.
