Portsmouth Police Seek Tips After McDonald's Is Robbed
The Lafayette Road resident was robbed on Friday by a man with a handgun.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — The Portsmouth Police Department is asking for the public's help after a local McDonald's was robbed last week. At just before 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 6, 2017, officers were sent the 1000 Lafayette Road for the report of an armed robbery. An employee of McDonalds reported being approached in the parking lot after locking up the business by a male with a handgun, according to the alert.
"With the gun pointed at the employee the suspect demanded to be let into the restaurant," Sgt. Dave Keaveny of the Portsmouth Police Department noted in a press statement. "The suspect was not able to get back into the restaurant and ultimately took personal belongings from the employee."
