Whether responding to an emergency scene or transferring a critically ill patient between hospitals, our team delivers seamless, patient-centered care during some of the most challenging moments in a person’s life. Each year, Boston MedFlight provides more than $7 million in free and unreimbursed care, ensuring no patient is ever turned away. Ever thought about trying stand-up comedy? Now’s your chance to stop thinking about it and get onstage!
Join professional comedian and Boston Comedy Festival founder Jim McCue for a six-week, hands-on stand-up comedy experience at McCue’s Comedy Club in Portsmouth, NH.
Whether you’ve always wanted to try comedy, want to become more comfortable speaking in front of people, or already have some material you’d like to improve, this class is designed to help you find your funny and develop your own comedic voice.
From the very first class, students will get onstage. Over five weeks, we’ll work on finding material, writing and rewriting jokes, setups and punchlines, timing, delivery, stage presence, building a set, and connecting with an audience. We’ll also touch on audience interaction, thinking on your feet, and what to do when things don’t go exactly as planned.
And then we put it all to the test.
