Portsmouth Republican: Its Time to Embrace Clean Energy

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Today, NextGen Climate New Hampshire released a new video highlighting Granite State Republicans who support the #50by30 goal.
John Formella, the chairman of the Portsmouth Republican City Committee, appears in this latest video explaining why conservative voters are passionate about clean energy solutions.
“A majority of Republicans agree that climate change is an issue that needs to be addressed,” said Formella, who also serves as the treasurer of the 603 Initiative. “We don’t talk enough about renewable energy—the ability to create jobs.”

According to recent polling from the conservative ClearPath Foundation, more than 70 percent of Republican voters support transitioning to a clean energy economy. NextGen Climate New Hampshire is working with voters, according to a press statement, on both sides of the aisle, to highlight the enormous economic benefits of transitioning to clean energy in the Granite State.
