Portsmouth Woman Dies After Car Crash in Milton
Two other women and a dog also pass away due to injuries on Route 16 in Milton.

Three women and a dog lost their lives last night after a motor vehicle crash on Route 16 in Milton, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Allison Smith of Portsmouth, Vanessa Cox of Boston, and Victoria Rose of Revere, MA, all perished in the crash.
According to statements from the state police, troopers were called to a two-vehicle crash at around 8:15 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2015, between a Jeep Liberty and a Subaru Outback.

According to the initial investigation, the Jeep, being driven by Rose, was driving south and crossed left of the center into the path of the Subaru, which was being driven by Smith. Cox was a passenger in the Subaru.
Rose was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester and pronounced dead upon arrival. Cox was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland where she later died.

A passenger in the Jeep and a second passenger in the Subaru sustained injuries but are in stable condition.
A small dog that was in the Jeep was euthanized due to its injuries.
“The reason the Jeep crossed left of center is still under investigation at this time,” according to Sgt. Steven Cooper. “The roadway was closed for approximately four hours.”
