PORTSMOUTH, NH — The president will be back in the state of New Hampshire Saturday for the first time since his get-out-the-vote first-in-the-nation primary rally held with a capacity crowd in Manchester back in February.

President Donald Trump's re-election campaign announced it would be holding a "Make America Great Again" rally at the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease at 8 p.m. Saturday. The event will be held outside.

"President Trump’s record-setting accomplishments in record-setting time have improved the lives of all Americans," said Hogan Gidley, the Trump 2020 national press secretary. "He rebuilt, restored and renewed our great nation once, and he’ll do it again. We look forward to so many freedom-loving patriots coming to the rally and celebrating America, the greatest country in the history of the world."

Ray Buckley, the chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, said the president flying into the state would "only further highlight the chaos" he has caused during the last four years including kicking "tens of thousands of Granite Staters off their health care in the middle of a pandemic, he is working to cut Social Security and Medicare, failed to make prescription drugs more affordable, and undermined women’s reproductive rights." Buckley also called the president's response to the new coronavirus crisis "woefully inadequate, resulting in thousands of Granite Staters contracting the virus and hundreds of lives lost, while causing significant damage to our state’s economy."
