RiverRun Bookstore Forced to Close for a Month

Lease on old space is set to expire before new location is ready.

RiverRun Bookstore is being forced to move out of its Congress Street location by New Year's Eve, the Union Leader is reporting – a month before its new home is ready for occupancy.

“We had hoped to stay where we are for January, even though our lease is up, and our landlord told us he would let us know by Christmas and on the 24th he told us we have to be out,” owner Tom Holbrook told the Union Leader. “So we will be moving into storage for the month of January while they fix up the new space.”

The new store at 142 Fleet St. is scheduled to be ready Feb. 1, the newspaper said.
