Seacoast Pathways Reaches Out To Veterans

Non-clinical mental health facility in Portsmouth makes appeal to all veterans.

(Seacoast Pathways, a program of Granite Pathways, is a mental health recovery peer community in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.)

Veterans all over the US enjoy a community of belonging and mutual support within the welcoming culture of the Clubhouse Model. Here in New Hampshire, Seacoast Pathways Clubhouse is here to help you successfully adjust to life outside the military. At Seacoast Pathways, you can:

■ Practice readjusting to civilian life in your community.
■ Find camaraderie among people who experience similar challenges learning to manage
with day-to-day life.
■ Explore new and different job skills and work environments, or how to translate skills
learned in the military to meaningful civilian jobs.
■ Get support to pursue the direction of your choosing, while learning to cope with internal
fears and anxiety to move calmly and with purpose through the routines of daily life.
■ Learn to leave your diagnosis at the door and rediscover your interests and talents.
■ Get support with substance misuse.
■ Feel needed, wanted, and expected to be the best you can be.
■ Be involved in weekly social and recreational activities.
■ Be appreciated for your expertise and work ethic.
■ Have fun with people who “get it” but do not make it a big deal – we all face struggles and
barriers to pursue the lives we want to lead.
