The “Shake, Rattle and Roll” Program is based on leading research, both in music and in child-development theory. The results are a program and a repertoire of music that work for young children and their families. This music catches their imagination and the activities inspire learning and participation. The children learn the language of music and then-naturally and spontaneously-they create music. Children will be engaged at their core- exploring, absorbing, imagining, and playing with music. Children become competent tonally and rhythmically because they experience music richly with the adults who care for them. Shake, Rattle, and Roll lays a musical foundation for learning future musical concepts as well as instills a love for music that will enrich the lives of both the child and the caregiver.
