Solutions Oriented, Pragmatic and a Leader

Why does congress have an 8% approval rating these day? Maybe it's because of their inability to get things done; their inability to compromise; or maybe American is just tired of the career politicians who have occupied the halls of our nation's capital for too long. I believe we need someone who--as the title of this article suggests--can rise above these issues that have America yearning for new leadership in Washington.

As a "seacoaster" and a conservative, when I look at the field of candidates in New Hamshire's 1st Congressional District only one stands out to me as someone who can address my hopes for a more fiscally conservative nation and a Washington that will start addressing the many problem facing so many New Hampshire citizens. Dan Innis, the former Dean of the UNH Business School and a small business owner right here in downtown Portsmouth (the recently renovated Portsmouth Hotel) I believe will meet all of my expectations for a representative. He has demonstrated his leadership through running a fiscally sound school at UNH, actually raising the funds for a brand new business school without additional state funding. But also on the campaign trail where has shown he is more than simply a sheep who would vote for the repeal of Obamacare without suggesting his own plan as well. As many of us here in New Hampshire have seen the negative effects of Obamacare, it's important to know that Dan understand the vitality of repealing the crippling legislation that is Obamacare and replacing it with a more sustainable system which will restore the choices patients deserve.

When I look at Carol Shea-Porter, someone who votes with the President and her party 95% of the time, I see a Washington liberal who continues to add to our nation's problems of financial insolvency and federal over-regulation. And when I look towards Frank Guinta, I see a man who is contributing to our nation's (borrowing a Jon Huntsman phrase) "trust deficit." Frank Guinta is nothing more than a career politician who lost to Shea-Porter last time we trusted him with our party's nomination. Representatives like Guinta and Shea-Porter are the reason why Washington has such historically low approval ratings.

It's time we as Republicans, conservatives and concerned New Hampshire citizens, vote for someone who can defeat Carol Shea-Porter and the Washington trust deficit with solutions, leadership and a little bit of pragmatism: and I believe Mr. Dan Innis is just the person who can do it.
