Surf Sushi Opens, and More Restaurant News
The new sushi restaurant opened two weeks ago.
Surf Sushi, the sushi restaurant run by the folks at , is now open at 99 Bow St.
The waterfront location has quite the view. General Manager John Dunn said a few people have said that it's not only the best view in Portsmouth, but possibly even the best in New Hampshire.
"It doesn't get much better," he said.

The restaurant focuses on three areas, Dunn said – maki rolls, nigiri and sushimi.
"It's chef-inspired sushi," he said.

There's also a large bar area, and outdoor seating that Dunn said is fantastic at sunset.
Surf Sushi is just one of several restaurants that recently opened or are expected to open in the next month.
, and is already drawing big crowds.
On Wednesday, in the former Sakurabana space on Pleasant Street.
Martingale Wharf, a new waterfront restaurant, is expected to open in the next several weeks, on the bottom floor of the Bow Street building that houses Surf and Surf Sushi.
A on Congress Street next to Popover's on the Square is expected to open around Aug. 10.
And is scheduled to open its new State Street store on Aug. 20, a company spokeswoman said this week, as long as all of the permits are approved and construction completed on time.
