Towel Day, Memorial Day Parade on Tap
The Music Hall will celebrate and life and work of Douglas Adams; TJ Wheeler Trio to play at Dolphin Striker; Mainesqueeze to rock Press Room.
As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Friday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends.
1. Celebrate Towel Day: The Music Hall will host a Towel Day celebration on Friday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. to celebrate the works of Douglas Adams. The event will feature Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters, raffling off tickets, and otherworldly tunes.
2. Don't miss Mainesqueeze: The Press Room will feature Mainsqueeze on Saturday, a Texas swing/folk band, on Saturday at 9 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge.

3. Memorial Day parade: The City of Portsmouth will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday beginning at 1 p.m. Here is a happening in the city.
4. TJ Wheeler Trio at Dolphin Striker: If you're in the mood for some rhythm and blues, the TJ Wheeler Trio will be performing at the Dolphin Striker on Saturday night from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. and there is no cover charge.

5. Gundalow day sails: Beginning this Memorial Day Weekend, the Gundalow Company will be offering its on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
