True Tales particularly seeks nonprofessional storytellers. To be a TrueTale, the teller needs to have witnessed or participated in it. The story should tie into the theme for any given month and each person has 10 minutes.
"While we encourage the development of storytelling skills with our monthly workshops and other assistance to tellers, this is not a competition," said Amy Antonucci, a True Tales Announcer. "We have no ranking, scoring or judging. We believe that everyone is a storyteller, and that stories shared from the heart uplift and inspire us, and bind ustogether."
