Tuscan Kitchen Opens Its Doors To American Heroes Nov. 11

​Free Veterans Day lunch is available in Portsmouth and Salem, NH, and Burlington, MA, for the seventh year.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — For the seventh year in a row, Tuscan Kitchen will open its doors tomorrow to more than 2,500 local veterans and their families for a complimentary three-course Veteran’s Day luncheon of traditional, artisan Italian dishes, according to a press statement. The tradition started in 2010 at Tuscan Kitchen in Salem and was expanded to the Burlington, MA, location three years ago. This year, the recently opened Portsmouth, location will host its first-ever veterans luncheon.

“Veteran’s Day has always been a special day for my family and it’s something that we’ve always honored at our restaurants,” said Tuscan Brands Founder and Chief Food Taster Joe Faro. “We’re proud to be able to open our doors to our military men and women to recognize their hard work and sacrifice to protect our freedom.”

The luncheon runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday is open to all veterans who live in Salem, Portsmouth and Burlington. Reservations must be made in advance by calling each location after receiving an invitation by mail or in person.

In addition to the Tuscan Brands team of volunteers who act as servers, greeters, bussers, and more, local organizations such as The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, The Homeland Heroes Foundation, and Building Dreams for Marines, have also spent the past few years volunteering at the event.
