Today's riddle: What do you call a one-legged Big Foot? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• For East Coast surfers, the Nor'easter is a warm weather gift (staradvertiser.com) — Surfers connected to Rye turned the recent nor'easter into an opportunity, with staff from local surf shop Summer Sessions chasing bigger waves up the coast. While many East Coast residents stayed inside, surfers from New Hampshire to Maine and beyond hunted for the best mix of swell and wind, treating the storm like an early-season gift.
• Nor'easter storms uncover 19th-century shipwreck in Nantucket (deseret.com) — Rye briefly appears in national coverage of the weekend's nor'easter, with photos showing people watching rough seas as the storm battered the coast. The same system uncovered a 19th-century shipwreck on Nantucket and caused flooding, power outages, and one death in New Jersey and New York, while forecasters warned of lingering coastal hazards.
