15-Year-Old Found Fatally Shot Outside Salem Home: Authorities

The boy had suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest, according to the attorney general.

SALEM, NH — A 15-year-old boy from Massachusetts was found dead with a single gunshot wound to the chest outside a Salem home on Friday, authorities said.

Wichai Saksene was discovered just outside of the Orchard Terrace residence, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella, who reported that the boy’s manner of death was homicide.

“The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are now under active investigation, and there is no known threat to the public at this time as all known parties have been identified,” according to a news release from Formella’s office.

Saksene was a Lowell High School freshman, a spokesperson for Lowell Public Schools confirmed to WCVB.
