Alleged Mass. Heroin Dealer Arrested on Route 125 in NH

NHSP busted Ernesto Reyes of Lawrence allegedly with $3,600 worth of heroin after a Plaistow traffic stop.

PLAISTOW, NH — An alleged Bay State heroin dealer was arrested on Friday and held on cash bail after a traffic stop on Route 125, according to New Hampshire State Police. Ernesto L. Reyes, 25, of Lawrence, MA, was arrested on Nov. 11, 2016, and charged with felony possession of a controlled drug-heroin with intent to distribute, resisting arrest, disobeying a police officer, and operating after suspension.

According to state police, at around 9 p.m., a trooper stopped a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Route 125 near Market Basket for motor vehicle violations. The driver – Reyes – alleged refused to identify himself, according to Sgt. Mark Hall of the NHSP.

“(The) trooper attempted to place Reyes under arrest for disobeying a police officer at which time a brief struggle ensued as Reyes resisted arrest,” Hall alleged. “Reyes was taken into custody. Subsequently located inside the vehicle were 10 fingers (100 grams) of suspected heroin, which has an estimated street value of $3,600.”

Reyes was arraigned today and is being held on $50,000 cash bail at the Rockingham County Jail.
