• Last Minute Senate Move Keeps Ayotte's Children's Mental Health Coverage Bill Alive (indepthnh.org) — A bill backed by Gov. Kelly Ayotte to require private insurers to cover children’s mental health care was rescued in the Senate after the House tried to sideline it, with Salem Sen. Daryl Abbas helping advance related parental alienation changes. The maneuver folds the children’s coverage plan into another bill, sending the package back to the House for a high‑stakes decision affecting thousands of New Hampshire families.    

• Area Sports Roundup, May 18 (keenesentinel.com) — Keene High’s girls tennis team continued its strong run by defeating Salem 8–1, sweeping all six singles matches and taking two of three doubles to climb to fifth in Division I. The broader roundup also covers recent Keene-area baseball and boys volleyball results and notes upcoming regional matchups.
