DERRY, NH — Police are investigating a reported assault Wednesday afternoon at the Robert Frost Farm Historic Site.
The Derry Police Department said officers responded to 122 Rockingham Road around 3:45 p.m. for a reported assault. A woman reported she had been struck from behind with an object by an unknown individual while she was on a trail at the property.
Police described the suspect as a white man wearing gray shorts.
Derry police carried out what the department called an extensive search, canvassing the surrounding area and using a K-9 to track the suspect, according to the department.
As of now, police said the suspect has not been located.
Derry fire and rescue teams took the victim to Parkland Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing, the department said. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the suspect's identity is asked to contact the Derry Police Department at 603-432-6111.
