DERRY, NH — A new family-owned restaurant has opened in Derry, with the Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce marking the occasion with a ribbon-cutting.
Maddie's Brookside, located at 4 South Main St., is the newest venture from the family behind Maddie's Restaurant, according to a Chamber of Commerce news release. Community members, local leaders and supporters joined the chamber to celebrate the opening and congratulate owner Amanda Desmarais.
The restaurant offers breakfast favorites, artisan sandwiches, fresh salads, specialty items and take-out options, according to the release. The business was described as a neighborhood gathering place with a family-owned atmosphere.
"The Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce proudly joined community members, local leaders, and supporters to celebrate the official ribbon-cutting of Maddie's Brookside, the newest venture from the family behind the beloved Maddie's Restaurant," a notice stated.
Guests at the event were welcomed with "freshly baked cookies, tea bread, refreshing drinks, and other delicious treats," according to the release. A photo caption distributed with the announcement identified Desmarais at the center of the event, joined by family, friends, staff, chamber members, and community supporters.
Maddie's Brookside also includes a seasonal ice cream window that is open daily from 3 to 8 p.m. Menu items listed in the announcement include hard ice cream, frappes, waffle sundaes, banana splits, burgers, chicken fingers, wraps, and fries.
The Chamber said it was "honored to welcome Maddie's Brookside to the community and looks forward to watching the business grow while creating lasting connections with residents and visitors alike."
