• Newfields Sex Offender Indicted On Child Sexual Assault, Kidnapping, Other Charges: Rockingham Indictments (patch.com) — Rockingham County's latest grand jury indictments include several cases tied to Salem, including allegations that a Massachusetts woman repeatedly stole from Target and a New York man took more than $1,500 in goods from Home Depot. The list also details serious charges against defendants from other New Hampshire towns and out-of-state, ranging from drug possession and DUI to child sexual assault and burglary.
   

• Londonderry firefighter who caught fire now recovering at home (wmur.com) — Salem firefighters were among several area crews who rushed to help battle a dangerous house fire in Londonderry Friday night, where a flashover left a lieutenant with a broken leg and minor burns. All five residents escaped safely and declined treatment, and the injured firefighter is now recovering at home, calling himself the "luckiest unlucky guy" after the close call.
