SALEM, NH — Residents looking for ways to get involved locally will have a chance to meet nonprofit groups from across the region at a free community event in Windham on Wednesday.
The Southern NH Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Non-Profit Expo from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at Windham High School, 64 London Bridge Road. The event is open to the public and is designed to bring local nonprofits together with residents for what the chamber described as an evening of connection, discovery, and inspiration.
Attendees can meet representatives from local nonprofit organizations, learn about the causes they support, and explore ways to get involved. The chamber said the event may be useful for people interested in volunteering, donating, finding community resources, supporting a local cause or learning more about organizations serving Southern New Hampshire.
"The Non-Profit Expo is a chance to discover the incredible work happening right here in our community and find a cause that speaks to you," the Southern NH Chamber of Commerce stated. "Bring your family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues and spend an evening learning how you can make a difference, whether through your time, talents, connections, or support."
Admission is free, "everyone is welcome," and the org encouraged residents to attend whether they are looking to make connections, support a cause, or gather information about available community organizations.
The chamber said the event is part of its broader work connecting businesses, nonprofits and residents through networking opportunities, educational programs, community partnerships and community events. That mission aims to strengthen the local community.
