Salem Manufacturer Hosts Southern NH Chamber for National Manufacturing Day Visit

SALEM, NH — The Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce marked National Manufacturing Day with a visit to GPD Optoelectronics in Salem on Friday, Oct. 2.

The event highlighted the company's role in the regional manufacturing sector, its continued growth and its connection to the local business community, the Chamber said.

At the Salem facility, Dave Beatson, chief executive officer, and Peter Dixon, chief operating officer, welcomed Chamber representatives and gave an overview of GPD Optoelectronics. They shared information about the company's operations, growth, and role in the industry.

Attendees also took part in a guided tour of the facility. The visit offered what the Chamber described as a firsthand look at the technology, skilled workforce, and processes that support the company's work, while also giving participants a chance to learn more about modern manufacturing and the role local manufacturers play in the region's economy.

The Chamber said GPD Optoelectronics' commitment to investing in the local business community was a key part of the visit. The company's continued development shows the value of supporting regional businesses and creating conditions where innovation, collaboration, and economic growth can grow.
