Hey Everyone,

Just to let you know about the so called food coupons that you find in the monthly spectrum and others. Always make sure that you have them take off the coupon before they add the meal tax to it. Here is the reason:

Example: $25.00 purchase/order, $5.00 off coupon=$20.00.

$25.00 plus 9% meal tax = $27.25, minus $5.00 off coupon= $22.25. You just paid the tax for a $25.00 order even though you got a $5.00 off coupon.

Now, if you really would be saving $5.00 off then you should only pay $21.80($20.00 plus 9% meal tax =$21.80) you got $5.00 off any order, does not say after $25.00 and meal tax of 9%.

So pay attention at the register and make sure they add the 9% meal tax to the amount after the $5.00 off coupon was subtracted. if not they are making out and you are not getting your $5.00 coupons worth.
