Another Week, Another NH Fugitive Caught

Sandra Egbert, wanted on bail violations for weapons charges, turns herself in.

As appears to be happening more and more with the U.S. Marshals’ New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force, alleged criminals are turning themselves into police either before or right after the release of the team’s Fugitive of the Week information.

This week, Sandra Egbert, 25, last known to live in Goshen, turned herself in to Keene Police last night after seeing herself featured on WMUR-TV.

She was wanted for “numerous violations of her conditions of bail” including “making false statements during the acquisition of firearms, not reporting to her supervising officer, moving without permission, curfew violations, and not reporting for drug testing,” according to Jeffrey White, a Deputy U.S. Marshal.

According to a statement, investigators were in the process of developing information that was obtained through multiple tips, which would have led to the arrest of Egbert at some point, they believe. Before getting to her location, she reported to the Keene Police Department, at around 7 p.m.

U.S. Marshal David Cargill, Jr., said in a statement, “We would like to thank the media, the tipsters, the Keene Police Department, and the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office for all of their assistance in this case. Once again, without this cooperative effort between law enforcement, the media and the public, arrests like these would not be possible.”
