Armed Robbery Reported on Cluff Crossing

Salem Police are at the Shaw's Supermarket, according to reports.

SALEM, NH - Update, 7:49 p.m. Dec. 17, 2015: Salem Police are investigating a robbery at the Citizens Bank branch located in the Shaw’s Supermarket on Cluff Crossing.

At 6:50 p.m., Salem patrol officers responded to the bank for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. An employee reported a male had walked into the branch and demanded money. The male threatened the employee and indicated he had a handgun, but no weapon was displayed.

The employee then handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the male was last seen fleeing the area on foot. The employee described the male as white, early 30s, scruffy, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches to 6-feet tall, thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a gray hat.

Salem Police officers quickly responded and are currently searching the area looking for the suspect. Several decent still phots were captured by Citizens Bank and are attached to this release. Anyone who may know the identity of the suspect seen in the photos is encouraged to call the Salem Police Department at 603-893-1911.

Salem Police were sent to an armed robbery at just after 7 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2015, according to alerts online.

The incident occurred at 92 Cluff Crossing, the Shaw’s Supermarket.

“SPD on scene investigating a report of an armed robbery that just occurred, possibly the Citizens Bank branch, avoid the area, multiple PD units on scene,” according to the alert.
