
The weekend of September 13th - 15th marked the first full weekend of youth hockey action for all New Hampshire Saints teams. Five Saints teams played a total of 8 games over the three-day span.
On Friday night, the Bantam 1 team brought all of their skills to bear in a lopsided win over North Andover at the Haverhill Valley Forum. Aleksei Lavrentyev posted his first shutout of the season in goal. On Sunday afternoon, the team fought hard to a 3-3 tie against Cambridge at Merrimack College in North Andover.
The Mite team started their season with a victory early Saturday morning over Wilmington at the Breakaway Rink in Tewksbury. Congratulations to all of the first-time Saints players for the victory!
The Bantam 2 team played to an exciting 2-2 tie with Groton on Saturday afternoon at Skate 3 in Tyngsboro. Vincent Annicchiarico and Bobby Merchel scored for the Saints. The game ended with Groton taking a penalty shot with no time remaining and Austin Corea coming up with the huge save in net.
The Midget team once again played strong in a 3-1 loss to Burlington at Lawrence Valley Forum.
A young Squirt team continued to improve this weekend in two losses to the Jr. Sharks on Saturday in Chelmsford and Andover on Sunday morning at the Haverhill Valley Forum.
